The FIRST community has helped our team is many ways. Therefore, we strive to give back by sharing our knowledge in hopes that it helps other teams. This page has information that covers Team resources, Robot resources, and STEM Program resources.

Programming
We use GitHub to keep our code organized throughout the years. Code for all robotics from 2016 to the present is always public. Our Github also includes our util library called Crewmate, our GitHub repos for teaching new students how to program FRC robotics, and a repo for our custom encoders that we used from 2023 to 2024.
Robot Packets
Each year, we create a robot packet for the competition robot. These packets go into detail on how we came up with a strategy, why we picked the design and more information about each subsystem. This includes prototyping, CAD, and code.
Business
When it comes to business, it takes a lot of money to fund a successful robot team. We strive to create informative business plans to help raise money for future seasons so that the team can continue to compete in FRC and encourage a love of STEM in others. We can fund the future of STEM by creating a business plan, contacting local companies, and creating a sponsor packet.
Strategy
Understanding the game and having a good Strategy is important in having a good season. Therefore, we work to ensure that all team members understand the game at kickoff. By doing so, all members can contribute to building and designing our competition robot. Many of our kickoff resources come from other teams but we also have our own resources.
Outreach and Awards
We strongly believe that giving back to our community and inspiring the next generation of engineers and problem solvers is vital. We therefore attend local city events, visit middle schools to run robot demos, and come up with and run events to inspire others within our community.
STEM Program Resources
Since we started our summer program in 2021, we have been passionate about creating opportunities where students of all backgrounds can learn about STEM. Through our Somerville Robotics League and a partnership with a participating school's AIM program, our FIRST LEGO League teams, our collaboration with the Summer Program for English Language Learners (SPELL), and our Girls Who Code Club, we are creating a foundation of STEM learning. All of these programs are free for all students.
