2018 power up
We competed in FIRST Power Up as a 3rd year team. This year our challenge involved yellow milk crate shaped game pieces called Power Cubes. Teams start off autonomously delivering Power Cubes to the Switch or Scale. After autonomous, drivers take control and teams continue to score points by delivering Power Cubes to the Switch or Scale, or by delivering Power Cubes to the alliance's vault to gain Power Ups. There are three power ups available and they are: Boost, Force, and Levitate. These Power Ups allow teams to help their score for a certain period of time and such. At a period of the match called End Game, teams try to climb on the side of the Scale to get more points.

2018 Robot Info
Auto
In the auto part of the game, our robot is able to deliver power cubes to the scale or switch for all possible combinations. The programming team used Java with command based to program auto and also used encoders, gyros and command groups. Elevator
Our elevator is made out of 80/20. We used sliders, a seat belt like material called webbing, pulleys and two CIM motors to make the elevator move up and down. Our elevator is also two stages. It's starting height is 54 inches and it can extend up to 7ft which allows us to place cubes on scale and switch. Cube intake
The cube intake used two 775 pros motors with 12 to 1 gearboxes. We used 4 complaint wheels in order to pick up the Power Cubes. The cube intake was attached to the outer stage of the elevator. |
